I will be able to deliver a brand new commercial airplane this afternoon because your personnel gave all they had, answered each telephone calls I made (and there were quite a few !). You have quite a customer support, believe me ! My computer went down and within a day I had it back , they were great and I recommend them.

    Good morning.

    Yesterday morning, I dropped off my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at your Mississauga location for repair of a severely broken screen. My experience was nothing short of superb. I generally do not write reviews but here it goes nonetheless.

    It began with a lovely young lady who was both courteous and forthright to a fault (long, curly haired lady, Caribbean decent I am guessing). The process was clear, straightforward and efficient. She did her job professionally and I was impressed. I was even more impressed when I received a phone call from her about an hour later at my office that a part of the same colour was not available and she was very apologetic. I explained that I was okay with a white bezel on my phone and that to proceed as planned. Gracious, polite, efficient and thankful, again, I was impressed with her.

    I then received another call approximately 2 hours thereafter that the extensive damage was repaired. I arrived to pick up my phone and to say that I was anything less than overjoyed that not only did my phone look great, it also performed as if it were brand new would be an understatement. I was and am elated.

    This is the third time I have used your services in the past 2 years...a cracked screen on this phone, an ipad cracked screen, and now this...all superb from beginning to end. Ironically, a few months back when I had the ipad repaired, I was listening to a customer who was very concerned about letting you fix her laptop as she was worried that it wouldn't be done right because Toshiba didn't fix it properly for her. I interrupted her and explained that she had found the spot in TechKnow Space and that she would be very pleased with the outcome. She was relieved and proceeded to have you repair it. I never saw her again but I am sure that she feels as I do herein, you people do things right.

    My company just moved offices earlier this week. It took me a little while to finally get everything set up the way I like it. But something must have happened to my iMac in the move because once I got it all hooked up, it wouldn’t turn on! We are not a big company, so it’s not like there is an IT or tech department I can go to for help at work. Our office used the Techknow space for a few of our smaller repairs for cell phones before, but I didn’t have any experience with their computer repairs before this. I was back to work on my iMac G5 the next day – the Techknow space solved the power issues and gave me a call to let me know I could pick it up. No one else was able to offer such a quick turnaround, because most places do not keep parts in stock. Thank you TechKnow Space!

    The Techknow Space saved my butt today! I consider myself a pretty tech-savvy person, and I thought I would be able to handle repairing my laptop on my own. Almost immediately everything went very wrong. The fan I ordered on the internet didn’t fit, I stripped like 4 screws trying to get them out, I lost at least three other screws, and I almost broke some connection wire. So I admitted defeat and hit the internet up for answers. I saw an ad for a laptop repair service that promised one-hour service in most cases. And at that point, I figured my poor computer didn’t have anything to lose. I brought my sad, broken laptop to the customer service desk expecting them to all laugh at me, but the woman at the desk was very understanding. She explained the tech would run their own tests to make sure all of my fumbling didn’t break anything else and then after that I would get a call when the repairs were done. Barely a day later and here I am, picking my laptop up, as good as new! The TechKnow space really knows what they are doing and it shows in the quality of service here. You guys saved me from having to shop around for a new laptop which is so awesome.

    So everyone’s knows about Murphy’s Law – what can go wrong will go wrong. But I think there should be a new version for the modern era – every device works perfectly until the warranty runs out. So when my iPhone’s SIM card stopped working properly, I was annoyed at my iPhone for breaking just a month after the standard warranty ended. And I was also annoyed at myself for not getting an extended warranty when Telus told me that the problem I’m having is not repairable and I would have to buy a new phone. I was devastated. I talked to my mom that night and after I finished whining and complaining to her about having to ship my iPhone 2 out to be fixed, she told me not to be dumb and just go to the Techknow space. She explained that she had a really good experience when she needed to her phone screen replaced, and I would definitely be better off taking it there than buying a new phone. And you know what – I really was way better off! I have my phone back, it cost me much less than I would’ve paid Telus and I don’t regret not getting the extended warranty. With the Techknow space around, I will definitely never need another warranty again. My phone is working perfectly for less than what the warranty deductible would’ve been!

    I’ve been to Techknow Space a bunch of times over the last year or so. I have experienced pretty much every single example of accidental damage with my Blackberry. Broken screen, messed up charging port, you name it and I’ve probably done it to my phone. I am a lawyer, so I need to be available to my clients almost 24/7. This time I visited TechKnow because I dropped my Blackberry Pearl in my coffee. These wonderful people performed a miracle and brought my phone back from the dead within a couple of hours. It is very rare to have such consistently awesome service in the business to business world, so I’m very happy. There is nowhere else like the Techknow Space that would be able to get me back to work in such a short time. I have a working Blackberry, and none of my clients even noticed I wasn’t available – it’s definitely a win-win.

    Have no complains about the technical side of the service - the issue with my laptop not starting was solved fast. But the amount charged feels like a rip off - $79 + tax = $90 for reconnecting a wire. This type of issues would take a good tech 10-15 minutes to fix. Some businesses will charge you accordingly or won't charge at all. But some will charge full price they are allowed - the amount I paid was exactly the minimum they didn't need my authorization for. Will not go there again after warranty expires and to anyone with seemingly small issue - be aware!

    Went to get screen replaced on HTC m8, they told me it would be an hour and took almost two hours, but otherwise it was okay... A little pricey two. Body of the phone was lightly damaged when I got it back as well

    Like many of others who have used this service, I myself had a incident where my iPhone 5 was dropped and the screen shattered. I use my phone for work a lot and always need it operational so I used TechKnow Space based on the reviews I read here on Google. I dropped the phone off the next day for their 1hr service. Another thing I also didn't quite appreciate was that they wanted the Pass Code to my phone without me backing up or anything. She joked that no-one would pry in my personal things...just for testing... That's all good and you can be the most trustworthy person in the world and I still wouldn't want to do that. Maybe some people will feel differently. I suggest that you ask your customers to backup their phones before coming for your services or allowing them to back it up there. They were kind enough to let me use their WiFi to recover it after I deleted it. (I did lose some data not having quite a recent backup.) An hour later I had it back! The screen was replaced and working! The service was as said 150$ approx later. I can thank them for that. The only thing I am not really happy about at all is that they damaged the top right corner of my phone. It is now very highly scratched to a point you can see the silver and dents quite visibly. I use a case so it's not so bad but something to consider about their workmanship which was definitely not the best. Especially when that corner has nothing to do with the screen replacement on the iPhone and this I confirmed a few weeks later with many videos on You Tube. At the time the lady told me that it sometimes happens but I don't think she knew herself how they fix them. I need a battery replacement right now and that is how I ended up on finding out how to replace the screens on iPhones and realized that they didn't need to damage my phone so I probably won't be their returning customer.

    1 hour phone repairs on huge sign is misleading. Liquid damage isn't considered a repair?? Was told 2 hours and they would text me when done. Of course without a phone this wasn't possible?! At 2 hours I called back and spoke to a 12year old who told me another 2hours and when I let her know I would have appreciated a more accurate timeline as I was killing time waiting for it....she suggested I go kill more time and hung up. Customer service needs some serious work here. I get the distinct impression the desk has no clue what is going on in the repair area. It will take a long while before my irritation wears off before I even think about coming back here or recommending anyone. On the plus side it does appear my phone is fixed.

I am talking about Toronto branch, not sure about other branches. Also very fast service, I think less than 2 hrs I got my laptop back. very happy with the service.

    The charger on my iPhone stopped working and I saw that TechKnow was close by. I walked over during work, dropped off my phone, and in 1 hour I had my phone back and working perfectly. Cost something like $59 which is a lot better than an $800 new iphone. Awesome stuff.

    Upon dropping off my cracked iPhone the gentleman behind the counter said it would be $99 to repair. When I picked it up it came to approximately $160. I now see on the website that this is the actual price but am confused why I was quoted so much less? But I digress, that is not my main issue. Exactly two weeks to the day after having my screen repaired I took it out of my bag and noticed a crack right across the screen. I have a case, there was nothing else in the pocket to scratch or damage the screen. When I took it back the lady behind the counter informed me that because my frame was bent (as it was when I initially dropped it off) there was no warranty and in fact, 'the screen breaks a lot easier'. I was not warned of this when picking up my phone or told to put on a specific case, as the lady then suggested after refusing to fix my once again broken screen. Very quick repair but clearly not quality parts, check to make sure whatever service you have done is under their very limited warranty. Not impressed!

    Originally had it rated as a five but reducing to a three, the first time the service was great, very friendly and did it for cheap, two months later I had to do another battery replace on another phone and I was given two different prices, ended up spending an extra $20 compared to the previous time. The staff this time around was quite unfriendly as well.

    I have broken my screen twice now, and TechKnow Space fixed it quickly both times. They also provide an in store warranty for their parts if anything goes wrong. Overall great experience.

    The first time it was ok. The second time the screen wasn't inserted properly, so the screen came out. Which made my phone cracked inside. The third time (which was yesterday Dec 18) my phone is fixed but the phone was acting up (meaning it was hard to touch and it was taking long to load) and know it won't even turn on (it's only a black screen). I don't know how I feel about this place anymore. I really like the people but the service is not the best. - Natalia Michalczuk

    I experienced problems with my Samsung Galaxy s4 on Christmas Eve and fortunately enough Tecknowspace was open on boxing day and was able to fix my phone within a couple hours. No hassles and the service was great. I will definitely come back if I ever have any problems. Prices are very REASONABLE!

    Today was my first experience with The TechKnow Space, and I was extremely impressed. A quick Google search sent me to their site. After calling the Mississauga location to confirm they could repair my Nexus 5 screen, I dropped off my phone and picked it up - perfectly fixed - in the timeframe they quoted. I can't speak for the negative reviews here. I had a wonderful experience and the rep I dealt with was very polite and professional. I will definitely come here again if I need more work done.

    I left my laptop for a hardware clean up. I literally cleaned the surfaces before handing it in because I would feel embarrassed if I leave a dirty-looking piece of tech. When I got it back, inside sounds to be clean; however the whole surface was dirty (stains, greasy hand marks everywhere, etc...) I thought, from the price they charge, they would give you a completely clean computer, and for courtesy, they would at least fix the small issue of the upper corner of the edge of the screen which is falling off. And I wish the customer service was more friendly too.

    Sony Xperia Z3 Dual with cracked glass - damaged digitizer - LCD was OK. They have replaced the whole screen, not just a digitizer. $$$. Repair was done on the same day. Kudos for displaying the price for repair on their website, it convinced me to go with TechKnow instead of competitor since I had to wait a day for a quote. The phone was assembled properly (difficult due to a back/front glass glued on) and everything works 1 month later still. I won't hesitate to come again...

    So let`s see... I purchased a new Note 5 and it ended up getting the glass cracked on the back. I was told it would be roughly $130 to fix it. I called Samsung directly to which they told me to check out TechKnow as they are affiliated with Samsung. I thought heck let me call and ask. The girl on the line told me to bring the phone in and told me the total cost with an estimated repair time of one hour. When I got there I was greeted by the receptionist who was friendly, she took my info down and was told they don`t have any Silver back glasses in stock and that they would have to order it. They took a deposit and was told to come in the next day via a follow up call to inform me that the correct part came in. I went in after work and got there an hour before they closed. They took it in and started working on it and it took about an hour and 10 mins. They worked a little past closing hours but ensured everything was in working order. I can`t speak for the negative reviews but I would recommend this shop to everyone. Thanks Techknow!

    I had an i-pad screen changed. Very satisfied so far with the end quality of the work. The staff was very courteous and did a good job after an initial hick-up. They put on a black colored screen by mistake instead of a white one. It was already beyond their closing time but they themselves offered to change the screen again by staying open late and without any extra charge. I had to wait a little but left very satisfied with their service. Keep up the good work! Thanks

    Had a good experience. It took a little longer than I was told for it to get done BUT that was not Techknow Space's fault. The service was great. Great Customer Service. My laptop looks amazing and I would definitely go back for the wonderful price. I was told at another store it would cost me 350$ to fix my laptop screen i paid less than half here.

The girl at the counter was very friendly and helped me pick out a new case so I didn't smash my screen for the 6th time. a+++ I will recommend this place to my friends and coworkers!

    Great service! Got a laptop screen [acer travelmate] replaced here about 8 months ago on a machine that was about 3 years old. It was still decent and had a new SSD so I paid the $175 to get screen replaced when it died on me. 8 months later the screen stopped working, so I took it back to the shop. They were hesitant at first to take ownership of the repair work or agree that the part was defective, however they did agree to take a second look and diagnose what was wrong. If it was the main board they said no charge since the laptop would be a write-off at that point. And if it was the screen they would replace it since it didn't even make it a year. Turns out it was neither and was just some little connector piece from the LCD to the main board. $20 and 24 hours later I picked up my notebook which now has [hopefully] another year of life to get me through until I get a new one. Looking very forward to X-mas and Boxing day sales this year...

    I dropped my Nexus 5, the screen was completely unusable but otherwise worked fine. I choose Techknow since the repair price was decent compared to other options and they fixed it, looks like brand new (replaced the entire screen not just the glass plate) and it was done within an hour. I highly recommend this place.

    Went in for nexus 5 screen replacement which was smashed totally with no display. You can have the screen installed and get a refund if the phone is not operational but paying labour of 25$. I kept the screen and it was installed beautifully and professionally in approximately 1 hour. Now my phone is almost as good as new.

    Came in with a foreign SIM card that was literally stuck inside of an asian-version HTC Desire HD (lol), and replaced the lcd panel screen of my Asus eee pc H100. Everything was about 130 and the guy finished it really fast. I was thinking about giving them my Asus ultrabook for a typical clean because it is randomly turning off and on. from reading the comments, it just sounds like they were pissed at the administrators. Admins, please do a better job in assuring quality customer service. You're essentially the face of the store so please be nicer to the customers. ty

    I came here on good advice from a friend. My hard drive and screen were totaled and the Apple Store told me I was looking at three weeks to six months for repair - while trying to sell me a new MacBook instead. Simon was very courteous and I got my laptop back, within days, working like the day I purchased it. Honestly, to anybody who reads this don't bother with the so-called geniuses at the Apple store and instead choose to pay your hard-earned money here, with an actual genius working on your electronics. Not only will you get a better deal, but you'll get a much shorter wait time. Thanks again!

    My Macbook Pro stopped working with an error. Apple store says more than $500 to fix and does not make an appointment at the same day. This place started the job immediately - all fixed. Picked up next day at lunch time. Great! Thank you.

    Mila was very friendly and helpful when I came in with a broken screen on my laptop and in a crisis. They said about two hours and called me long before that time to let me know it was fixed. Vova did very fast work in spite of the fact that they were very busy. I heard and saw another three clients get good and fast service while I was there. I almost didn't go there due to the ratings but am very glad I realized that sometimes there are just bad or unreasonable customers.

    I went to TechknowSpace after my hard drive crashed and I didn't have $600 to pay most places in Toronto charge to retrieve photos, music, and data files from a corrupt drive. I was referred to the store by a Dell representative and brought my drive to see if they could help me. Within 24 hour and only at $99 they helped me retrieve all important files that were trapped on my old hard drive. Andre, the tech who helped me, also helped my install an anti-glare screen for my iPhone 3GS that fit perfectly and with no air bubbles underneath the screen. I will definitely go back there again. So grateful to Andre and his staff in helping this recent newcomer to Canada in getting my important files again at a rate that won't break my budget.

    Was in town staying at a hotel near Rogers Center when I spilled coffee on my Macbook Pro. Disaster.Tons of work potentially lost. This place came up as the closest repair shop so after a brief phone consultation with them I brought it in. They said it would be 69$ for cleaning and diagnosis and they would be able to tell me the extent of the damage by 4pm. I was leaving the next morning so I was nervous about the time. I returned at 4 and they already had it up and running. They had replaced the power switch and something else and charged me an extra 140$. I wasn't able to do any price comparisons on the spot- but for a couple of hundred bucks they got it working and they did it fast, so seemed like a good deal to me.

    I took my Laptop in and they told me that it was a one day repair. I called them a right before they close the same day just to see if they finished the diagnostic, even when I knew what one of the problems were they hadn't started it and said that it was going to take a few hours. The next day they finished the diagnostic and told me that it would cost "X" amount of money I said ok go ahead and do it so that took another day to do and I pick it up on the third day. They were nice enough to not charge me for the USB problem. And my computer is working just like normal.

    Been here multiple times to repair different devices. Always get fast and professional service. Would not take my devices to any other place for repair. Convenient location and great service. Today I got my Samsung S4 phone digitizer replaced, as I could no longer see my screen. Less that 1 hour later I was out the door with my phone working again. Don't like it when my phone breaks, but I love the fact I know when to go to get it fixed.

    I have a 6-7 year old PS3 which was freezing more frequently as it aged. I took to TechKnow where they ran diagnostics and also fixed a broken optical port.Service was quick and so far so good with no freezing of the console. Its early but I am happy with the service and would not hesitate to recommend. I would return for repairs to other consoles or phones that I have. Thanks again, TedH

    i dropped my iPad Air the Saturday before Christmas, completely shattered the glass screen. i dropped the unit off @ 10am Sunday morning and it was completely replaced by 11am. No hassle, no wait. price as advertised using authentic apple parts. great job, would definitely recommend their service to anyone.

    Wonderful staff and service! After my ipad met with a flagstone floor, my screen was smashed and cracked beyond repair. Fortunately the ipad still worked. The staff was able to replace my screen and did so under a time constraint as I had another appointment and was visiting from out of town. Highly recommend them!

    I told my tab was to be repaired in about 3 hrs, but decided to pick it up the next day. When i came to pick it up, I was told you had the wrong part & had to order it. You could have contacted me & told me the situation, instead I wasted my time getting to the store after work & then finding out I had to wait 2 weeks & another trip to your store. The tech should have let the girl in front aware of what happen & contact the customer.

    Wow! Such a professional and courteous attitude from the receptionist to the Customer Service Staff. I was really impressed. I had already tested the quality of their work by sending someone who needed a glass changed on his Ipad. They did the repair in a timely manner, and the person and his 9 year old daughter, were completely satisfied. Today, I brought them another iPad and 2 Iphone 5S for the same. I was so surprised to learn, that all 3 will be ready by 5 pm, at a very reasonable cost.

    Took my Galaxy S4 in for repair after it fell out of my pocket onto stones while running - cracked the screen. They had a very busy day, so it took a bit over an hour, but it was well worth the wait. Great job! Quality repair. I would definitely use them again, although I hope I never need to.

    Great store, great people! I got bumped, dropped my Galaxy S4. Phew. It didn't break. Dummee me: I go to grab it and accidentally kick it. It hits the wall and (DANGIT!) screen broken. TechKnow fixed it in less than their advertised 1 hour time. The price was maybe 10% higher than then cheapest place I could find...but...I've always felt that cheapest place = cheapest parts = lowest quality repair. I'd recommend The TechKnow Space any day. The nice girl at the cash advised me that they have great prices on cases (starting at $10). So again opting not for cheapest I picked up an iLuv gel case for $25.00.

    Great service! Got a laptop screen [acer travelmate] replaced here about 8 months ago on a machine that was about 3 years old. It was still decent and had a new SSD so I paid the $175 to get screen replaced when it died on me. 8 months later the screen stopped working, so I took it back to the shop. They were hesitant at first to take ownership of the repair work or agree that the part was defective, however they did agree to take a second look and diagnose what was wrong. If it was the main board they said no charge since the laptop would be a write-off at that point. And if it was the screen they would replace it since it didn't even make it a year. Turns out it was neither and was just some little connector piece from the LCD to the main board. $20 and 24 hours later I picked up my notebook which now has [hopefully] another year of life to get me through until I get a new one. Looking very forward to X-mas and Boxing day sales this year...

    I only had my nokia lumia 1020 for about 3 weeks when I decided to pretend I was an octopus and do 3 things at once without using the headphones for chatting. I held my phone between my shoulder and ear and surprise, it fell onto the coffee table and then tumbled to the ground. I had dropped my iphone a million times over the years and each time it was dropped, I would hold my breath while turning it over hoping that the break wasn't so bad. The iphone never broke. The lumia SMASHED. To the point that if I touched the screen the glass would flake off onto my finger. I called around to compare pricing and repair options and found TechKnow Space to be priced slightly lower than other shops (who were willing to match). The other factor was repair turn-around time. TechKnow Space claim to be able to fix your phone in 1-hour. After shopping around a bit, TechKnow has the lower price and fastest fix time. I was skeptical to give this place a whirl based on other reviews, but after calling them and having a neutral conversation I decided to go with them. I got my phone fixed in 30 minutes (as promised over the phone). The price was as advertised with no hidden costs.The repair also comes with a 60-day warranty on work completed. I priced this place as "moderate" because it was in-line with what other shops were charging for the same thing. I was with my infant so it was important for me to get a quick (but proper) repair. I'm happy I gave these guys a chance.

    i broke my laptop screen a few months ago and took it to them to get it fixed. The lady who was at the front desk was not polite and didnt even say hello or goodbye back and completely ignored me for the first few minutes. anyways i put her grumpiness in account of her pregnancy. since im a university student and very broke the price was a good deal for me so i took my laptop to them right away. it took them right about an hour to get it fixed which is great.

    Well it finally happened after 3 years of ownership of my iPad 2, i finally dropped it on its face and cracked the screen. I was so tempted to buy a new iPad Air but figured i should spend the 100 bucks to get the screen fixed instead seeing it was the holiday season. Found these guys on the net, and did a drive-by to ask some questions about price and how long the repair would be. A very nice dude at The TechKnow Space on Front St. was super helpful and said its a same day repair for just $119. I was stoked with that info considering i was going out of town to mums for christmas and needed it to survive ;) Long story short, i dropped it off on Mon the 23rd of Dec and didn't have time to pick it up same day so picked it up on Christmas eve (bonus is that they were open until 6pm on Christmas Eve!) Net Net: iPad works and looks great, and i received pretty friendly service.Great experience all around! Happy Holidays Y'all!

    Uh I had originally taken my ipad2 with a cracked screen to a cheaper place, and the guy promised me 2 hour service. After 4 days and my iPad2 with an improperly applied screen and crazy glue all over my glass screen and camera lens, I decided to take my iPad to the Techknow Space in Toronto. They stated it would take about 2.5hrs to complete. Got a call in that time frame explaining that my iPad was ready for pick up. However, when I got home, I noticed that my Wifi was no longer working. So I returned to the store 3 days later, expecting to get some type of hassle or accusation that it was something I had done, but to my surprise, it was a hassle free experience. The tech, Philip took a quick look and stated that he would have it ready for me e next day. I got a call late morning stating that my iPad was ready and fixed. I can appreciate that sometimes mistakes happen when repairing a device, but what was really important was that the staff at Techknow space provided me with a hassle free experience and got the job done right. They may not be the cheapest place around, but I truly believe I got what I paid for, a professional repair and great customer service. I would definitely recommend this place for iPad repairs.

    I stopped in yesterday to inquire and get an estimate on fixing my laptop, met a nice lady who told me they charged a standard diagnostic fee of 40$ , which is waived if I decide to have them fix the problem. Today I took my laptop in and left it to be diagnosed. Simple problem, my laptop would not power on/off. I first met the "technician" and explained the situation, he was an awesome guy, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. He went back to work and I got served by a young man, who was just as courteous, friendly and positively nice. \this was during lunch hour, I paid the diagnostic fee and left, instructed that they will call with the problem/estimation etc. Two hours later, I got a call from the technician who said my laptop has been fixed and that the diagnostic fee covered the charges. No extra funds were needed! How amazingly, absolutely, positively refreshing is this?! I always view computer repair people the same way I view auto repair people --shady scumbags who will usually rip you off (based on past experiences of course). The entire staff at Techknow Space proved me wrong, from start to finish, they were personable, friendly and courteous, I am truly grateful for their honesty and genuiness. If the need arises again, I have now found an amazing place to get it fixed. You made my day thanks.

    Just had my laptop repaired. Had a power jack replaced. Originally took it to Futureshop (where I first purchased it) and whaddaya know ... FS won't repair things out of warranty. No, that's a lie ... the tech didn't even look at my laptop after I explained my situation before he started talking about their protection service plan and taking me all over their computer section. Simply put, according to FS I was to spend $350+ (replace the motherboard ... don't ask how I came to that conclusion) or 700+ (new laptop altogether). But that's another rant for another day. I went onto yelp.ca to find a great tech service and I came across these folks. Decent rating and very close to my home. I called them to explain my situation and the tech didn't even let me finish my sentence before he said "$130, 3 hours." Done. I brought my baby in around 4 pm and I asked the tech about having to maybe replace the motherboard and he looked at me and said "Yeah, $130 ... 3 hours." I left it at that. I went home, praying for a miracle, and I received a call at 5:45 to tell me that I can pick my laptop up whenever. And now, here I am writing this review for you on my remedied laptop. Cons: The staff seemed no nonsensey and very formal ... which isn't a problem for me since they are very apt at their jobs. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand, then go on over to Geek Squad or whatever. Pros: GREAT prices, quick service, and they just get it done. Will be returning this week to get my BlackBerry tweaked. My friend came with me to pick up the laptop and saw how happy I was and dropped off her MacBook just before closing to get the keyboard cleaned (hot sauce accident ... another story for another day.)

    Through complete fault of my own I had recently found my laptop to be out of commission after I plugged it in and sparks flew. I took it into Best Buy to be looked at where a Geek Squad associate told me it would be a big repair costing me $450. I was set on buying a new computer, at that cost. While shopping around for a new laptop at Future Shop I enquired about my problem and told me to go find a small computer repair shop. Apparently when your computer is not under warranty they can't help fix your problems? Enter TechKnow Space. It is super close to my place which is the number one reason I went there but I also I found Nikita to be very helpful. I first ask some general questions which he took the time to answer and a week later when Nikita saw my computer he explained to me that it wasn't a problem with the part I though it was (a/c adapter jack) but a problem but the board holding it in place. I left my computer for diagnostics to see if they could get the part and fix it. Diagnostics is $40 but if you go ahead with the repair, the fee is waived. It turned out they could get the part the next day and they managed to do the repair in one day. I was anxious to get my computer back but not in any hurry. Still Nikita called and left messages for me at each step of the way. When I picked it up he was even nice enough to get me and a/c adaptor to plug into my computer and show me that my problem had been fixed. Total repair was $135 which is nothing when you get to keep your old computer and not have to buy a new one!

    When my daughter's Gateway laptop stopped charging we thought it was the charger that was the problem. We went through 5 aftermarket chargers only to figure out that it was actually a faulty power jack. My IT guy at work told me that - I was looking at a new motherboard - which really meant a new laptop. I was fortunate to find Techknow Space who advertised that they would repair the laptop within 2 hours - even on a Saturday. The store doesn't look much from the outside - but the service was very professional and courteous - and they were as good as their word. The laptop was ready within an hour and works perfectly - all for $139. Both my daughter and I are very happy with my outcome (even though she was secretly hoping that Daddy would buy her a new Macbook).

    In October 2010. I stopped by The TechKnow Space to seek their help in retrieving files from my computer's hard drive which just died on me. My desktop was installed with a new drive, however all of my important files were on the old drive. Frustrated that I might have lose everything forever, I did some research and found out there was a possibility that the data on the drive can be retrieved via data recovery services. I did check out a few areas by my home, but they wanted too much money and I was working on a budget. I discovered this business with a Google search and decided to give them a try. Not only did they charged me an amount that I could work with ($100 + HST) they were able to retrieve all my files and save my life. I can't stop thanking the staff for their kind help in recovering my files and saving my work from permanent loss. Their dedication in helping customers and not gouging them is truly appreciated.

    TechKnow Space in Mississauga fixed my iPhone and made my week. They were friendly, fast and their prices were more than fair. TechKnow Space were far more proactive and effective in helping me than the Apple Store / Genius Bar. My story - My iPhone 4S had stopped charging and eventually died. After days of research and trying all the things I could do myself (cleaning the port, trying different chargers and computers, etc), I booked an appointment at the Apple Store. My phone was off warranty, and I knew whatever solutions they offered wouldn't be cheap, but I had been days without my iPhone and I needed to take the next step toward getting it fixed. Basically all the Apple Genius person did was hook it up to a charger, see that it wouldn't charge and say "Our suggestion is that you buy a new phone, or upgrade with your provider." I said I did not want to upgrade and that my goal was to get my current phone working again to save my data, at the very least. They said the problem was probably the logic board and they could replace it for $169.99. But they said that they weren't 100% sure that was the problem because they couldn't get the phone to boot up. I was kind of surprised that plugging my phone into a charger was the extent of the "diagnostics" that the Apple Store did. I expected they would take it out back, open it up, run some sort of diagnostic tests on it. Nope. I left the Apple Store feeling like I learned more about what the potential problem was from Google than I did the Genius Bar. My feeling from all research I had done online was that it was maybe the battery, but more likely the docking connector. All the cases I had encountered with the same history / symptoms as my phone were because of the docking connector being corroded or broken. I got home and Googled iPhone repair places in Toronto that were not Apple. I found a BlogTO article on the top 5. And although TechKnow Space was not mentioned in the article, a bunch of people in the comments section recommended them. Their Mississauga location is on my way home from work, so I went in to see them at 5:30 PM on a Thursday night. By 7 PM, my iPhone was fixed and the price was less than half of what Apple would have charged me to replace what would have been the wrong part (It turned out to be the docking connector). Overall, I had a great experience at TechKnow Space and I would go there again.

    In 2012 TechKnow Space fixed my iPhone 4, in 2013 they fixed my iPhone 5, and just this week they repaired my friend's iPhone 5S. Great customer service and fast repair every time.     So I got my Galaxy S4 screen repaired here. I shopped around, but went with TechKnow because they quoted me the least out of three stores, and said they could have it done the quickest . The repair was done perfectly in roughly 45 minutes. Not that i really give a shi*, (because lets be real, I'm getting my phone fixed, not buying a house) The staff was friendly enough, they informed me of the work they needed to do when I asked, and gave me a slight discount when I asked for it. Phone is working great now... as it should be... This place does what they are supposed to do, fix your phone so you can be on your way for a good price and quickly, what more do you want? A hug and a high five? C'mon now! if you live downtown and need your device fixed, just go, get in and get out. This place does a great job and reached my expectations, as they should have!

    I'm from "up north" or "cottage country" as some call it. My iphone 4 was dropped by my four year old son and the screen went black. There are no options up here for repair so when a colleague of mine told me he took his iphone swimming for about 2 hours this summer and his screen wouldn't turn on afterwards, he sent it to TechnoKnow Space and voila, it was repaired quickly and at a very reasonable rate. I called TechKnow Space and the lady who answered very quickly said mine could be repaired. Yes, she did cut me off when I was explaining my problem but I realize now it's because she's probably seen this a million times. I sent my phone to Toronto to be dropped off by my brother who is going to school there and I received a call a few days later with the news that it was good-to-go. Turns out, I was heading to Toronto for some meetings so I decided I'd pick it up then. Just before my trip down, my other son dropped my iPad and the screen cracked. I know... My kids will NOT be touching my devices again. Needless to say, I decided to take my iPad to TechKnow Space for repair when I picked up my iPhone. When I got to the store, I was greeted by a very polite man named Andre. He gave me my repaired iPhone and helped me find the right case for it from their selection of merchandise on the wall. Andre then took my iPad to repair and said it could be done within an hour. Because I was leaving town that morning - back to work, I said I couldn't stay and Andre said, "well, we can fix it today and ship it back to you for tomorrow." Of course I was impressed. While Andre was helping me, a couple of people came in and were behind me in line. I noticed Andre greeted them and was very polite as he rung through several items for me (iPhone repair payment, iPad drop off and repair payment, shipping address for iPad return, iPhone cases - yes, I finally got them, and an iPad case - I learned my lesson). As a visitor to the big city, I for one notice that one doesn't always get a pleasant clerk anywhere on any given day, particularly on a Monday morning at 9 a.m. I highly recommend TechKnow Space to anyone looking for prompt and very reasonably priced and friendly service.

    I cracked my iPhone screen, and they repaired it over my lunch break, I've had my phones damage before but always sent it away to Rogers, and it would take weeks! So glad I found these guys, they really are the 1 hour repair specialists. They also had a big selection of Otterbox cases for phones and tablets! I didn't even know Otterbox made tablet cases and they were cheaper than Futureshop & Best Buy! They are great and very helpful, I'll definitely go back if I need anything else repaired.

I left the lap top there but got it back - FIXED - before the day was over and I had to go on biz trip tomorrow. Phillip was excellent and went out of his way to help me.     I had a broken iPhone that was dropped in the rain. The screen broke and the phone stopped working all together after one day. I brought it in to the Techknow Space and they quoted me $40 up front for a 'cleaning'. Plus another $99 for the screen, and I was good as new for a lot cheaper than buying a new phone (which apple suggested) in under 2 hours!

Gave several referrals to colleagues/friends who had positive experiences with various technical issues related to; phones, ipads, laptops. Sometimes tech or specialized communities have an abrasive approach; but once I got past this with their male tech staff I was pleased with service. I continue to give them as a referral.

    It was a day of delight for us when we accidentally bumped into techknowspace.com while looking for a good and reasonable repair shop for our computer. It was very easy to reach them and it was a delight to meet the people there. Our issue was quickly diagonised and the tentative bill was also told to us. The time to pick up was specified and a call back to confirm the issue was also made. Over all ABSOLUTE peace of mind. We met Mr. Ashok, the owner to thank him and found him to be a humble and sensible gentleman. Our recommendations for their service and conduct is 150%. Scope of improvement is slightly on the service charges as per the model

    I had considered the TechKnow Space for replacing the cracked screen on my ipad2, but instead opted for a considerable cheaper place on Bloor St. W. (Frontier Technology Services FTS. 1230 Bloor Street W). The guy promised me 2 hour service. 5 days later, my ipad2 screen was crazy glued together and there was glue all over my iPad including my camera lens. After battling for a couple of hours for my money back, I decided that I would go the the TechKnow space. I was told that the ipad2 screen replacement would take about 2.5 hours. I got a call within that time frame and picked it up the same day. I was really happy to see that the job was done professionally, and they cleaned my camera lens of all the glue at no extra charge. However, I noticed when I got home, that my wifi was not working. So, I returned to the store a few days later expecting a battle and accusations that this was not as a result of the repair. I was surprised to see that it was immediately looked at, and that it was repaired without any hassle. It was so nice to see that the staff were professional in their dealings with my device, and me...the customer. Sometimes mistakes happen, and that's understandable. It says a lot about a store when they acknowledge that and make it right. I would definitely return as a customer and based on my experience I would definitely recommend them. Although it may not be the cheapest place around, it is worth the peace of mind that they will fix your device properly, and if they make a mistake, you can be rest assured, they will be there to make sure it's corrected. Thanks, for putting my mind at ease, and ipad2 back to work.

I took it in for them to have a look and I explained that I did not want to invest too much in fixing the computer since it was pretty old. I got a message the next day asking for me to pick it up.     I just had to take a moment and say how impressed I was with the staff at the Toronto location of TechKnow - clean, friendly and responsive. I tried, like many, to embark on a DIY project on my computer - seemed simple enough - but as their web site points out - I didn't have the right tools, knowledge or experience to pull it off. After having called around, my excellent experience started with the call to see if they could accommodate the simple computer project (memory upgrade) and the excellent service followed when I arrived at the store. I had wasted so much time trying to do this myself and they were able to provide a solution in far less time that I had already wasted. Their promotion of providing a solution is accurate - and it was timely, affordable, worth the trip to their location for sure. I plan to give them more business and would recommend them to others.     Today, the staff of TechKnow turned one very miserable and stressed out university girl into the happiest girl ever! I spilled a little bit of water in the bag in which I had put my laptop and it just refused to charge! Immediately bringing it to the Apple store at Square One shopping mall, I was told that the minimum amount of $ it would cost me is $550 and could go up to $900+. Devastated, I didn't know what to do until one very nice lady recommended TechKnow right across the screen to me, as they had helped her out with her iPhone. After only 1-2 hours, my Macbook Pro was completely repaired and as good as new for $109. I was ecstatic to pick it up so soon and managed to finish up my essay! THANK YOU TechKnow Space for SAVING ME! The staff was very polite and knowledgable, as well as quick. I highly recommend them! Don't ever go to Apple for accidental repairs, they will empty up your bank account as the word repair doesn't exist for them!

    Four years ago my husband purchased a MacBook Pro laptop for our daughter as she entered university. Then he purchased one for me. Unfortunately this year both our laptop screens developed cracks. We didn't want my husband to know about the cracks, so on the sly we started to investigate options for replacing our screens...only to be told that the expense would be so high that we might as well purchase new laptops! This was very discouraging. Then I discovered TechKnow Space online. When I called them not only was I told that our laptop screens could be replaced for a very reasonable cost, but I was also told that it would only take a couple hours to replace them. Fortunately the Mississauga location is only an hour away, so my daughter and I were able to drive down to TechKnow Space today, and while our screens were being replaced, we were able to browse the stores across the road at the Square One Mall. Happily our laptops now look as good as new...no cracks in the screen, and we didn't have to break the bank to have both MacBook screens replaced. And best of all, my husband is none the wiser! I don't know how we managed to crack our MacBook screens as we were always very careful with our laptops. Thank goodness I discovered TechKnow Space so we no longer have to look at cracked screens!     I had two good experiences at The TechknoSwpace.com Location in Mississauga; # 1 APRIL,12/12 I purchased a replacement batttery for my computer.the technician was NIkita. Today July 6th/12 I returned to this location to advise that the existing battery was not fully charging and needed replacing. It was replaced at no additional charge as the original was being returned to manufacture as defective. with a replacement battery at no additional cost as the previous battery was found to be defective and charged back to supplier. When the phone was dropped we looked into used sales and the prices varied so much it worried us a bit but we found the Techknow space and their very affordable fix saved the day!

I had problems with my iphone 3G's charging port and got it replaced here back in december. this week started having issues again, brough it in and they looked at it and turned out that the connector had gone loose because of the phone being dropped. They reconnected it on the spot at no charge and off I go.

    Bought an Ipad2, and after 2 days with it, my cat decided to play with the charging cable one night, and it dropped from my coffee table to the floor, shattering the screen. Sent it out to TechKnowSpace to have the screen replaced as it wasn't covered by the warranty. It took less than a week from shipping the unit through CanadaPost to get it down there, have the repair done, and ship it back. Needless to say, I'm much happier paying them and waiting the week to have it repaired than to go through Apple for an out-of-warranty repair, wait probably 2 or 3 weeks, and pay twice as much. Excellent job, guys.

I only wish there was a shop out here in Vancouver that does the kinds of repairs you Saints at Techknow Space do. You have gained yourself a very loyal, and more than likely repeat customer, and whats so ironic about that is we're not even located in the same city, or province, and pretty darn close to opposite ends of the country ...     When I smashed my BlackBerry Bold 9700 LED screen, a friend recommended that I take it to TechKnow. My service provider quoted me $300 and three weeks to fix it. TechKnow fixed it in just 10 minutes for half of the estimated cost. I'm very happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone.

    My laptop screen quit, and I was told that it would take 2 to 3 weeks to ship it away for repairs. The geniuses at Technowspace diagnosed that it was not the screen, fixed it in 45 minutes, and for less $$ than they had originally quoted me!     My iphone failed due to error 23. Tried updating the Itunes new version v 10.1 several times to no avail. Even called Apple and was advised to shipped it which will cost me CAD 257.00 + tax and shipping (really crazy idea might as well BUY a new one)Brought my iphone to The Techknow Space and spoke to Andree which he promised to fixed it for a fraction of the cost CAD 79.00!

    My daughter dropped here Ipod touch on the ceramic tiles and needless to say it did not bounce well. This is her prize possession and the screen was in pieces.I found TechKnow on the web and in less than a week via Canada Post it was repaired. No problems no hassle and at half the cost of Apple,even her data survived. Good work all around.

    My MBA needed a new screen. There was a problem with the hinges after the guys at Technknow Space fixed it. After a few back and forth, they replaced the hinges at no extra cost.     So i bought 2 HTC Legends, within a month both LCD screens where broke. After talking with HTC directly they quoted me over 500 and 2 month waiting period to get my phones back. TechKnow Space was and still is the only place ive found that can do these repairs besides doing it yourself. The beauty with the TechKnow Space is that they got both my phones fixed and an ipod i needed done as well for 100 cheaper and done in one day they even shipped it back to me. I will be taking any and all of my electronic repairs here from now on!

    We sent a laptop down to have the monitor replaced. The job was excellently done and the service was great. They kept in touch the whole time letting us know what was going on with the laptop. It was sent back to us in great time and the finished product looks great. We will happily spend the extra money to take our products there.

    Unbeleivable !!!!!!! My water damaged bold 9700 was down and out for 2 weeks. Trackpad stopped scrolling. Went to a blackberry repair guy in Mississauga. Had it for 3 days said there was too much corrosion. no luck. went to tech know space. walked right in , handed them my 9700 , replaced the trackpad, tried a few things and voila it is now working better than ever. thanks tech know space!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The service and staff are simply spectacular. My screen on my Blackberry had gotten cracked and unusable the day before and so I went to TechKnow Space They had the screen replaced for an amazing price and a fraction of the time it would of taken had I gone to my carrier for help. I am speechless on how well the quality and speediness of the service. I will recommend these guys to all my friends.

    These guys are really good at what they do ....trust me. I have a phone HTC TOUCH HD that had a broken LCD/Digitizer... I tried everywhere in the city to have it fixed but to no avail...some dumb technician actually messed it up the more. I was almost sending my phone to the HTC Company in Taiwan until I googled and found Technow space. I called and they told me that it could be done in 1 hour..just like that. they were very professional and friendly.. and they FIXED my phone..I would recommend anyone to go there....trust me. I'm a doctor.

    Excellent and Friendly and Honest Customer Service! My laptop fell down and a part got broken. I called TechKnowSpace. I told them what was wrong and they told me to come early on the same day, the job would be done in about 2 hours. Voila, it was done. The computer was tested in front of me and I even bought some really great products at the store also while I waited. I was grateful to get quick, friendly and honest service and I even saved money.

    Excellent service! My BB went on the Fritz (water damage, I thought) and the Rogers option was a very expensive one. Since I don't have a land line, access to my BB is critical. A friend's son recomended The TechKnow Space and an hour after walking through the door, my BB was once again operational, for a fraction of the price! I am one happy customer and will pass on this gem of a company to everyone I know! Bravo team TechKnow

    As others have mentioned in previous testimonials, the guys at TechKnow Space really do go the extra mile to service your phone. I had numerous issues with my Blackberry Curve 8900, including a strange buzzing sound accompanying anything I played on its speakers - a problem never before seen by the technicians. But they didn't give up until it was repaired. I have to especially thank Andre for his commitment to solving all the issues I had with my phone - without charging me extra for the extra work! I also want to thank Ash for his prompt responses to my emails. Fast service; reasonable prices; exceptional work. Can't recommend these guys enough.

    This is the second time i've been rescued by the awesome team at Techknow Space. Ash saved me the first time. This time, after a foolish and hasty apartment re-entry, my crashed screen was in the hands of the lovely and talented Irena. I barely had time to circle the stadium and have a coffee before my screen was repaired. Truly mind-blowing service.     My wife broke her glass touch screen on her iphone. Techknow Space had it fixed in less than an hour and at less than 1/2 the price that the Mac store quoted us. I can't say enough good things about the service and the staff. My wife and I are definitely going to be return customers!!

    I changed the housing on my BB9700 myself at home and completely screwed up the camera flash and somehow managed to sever the microSD card reader. These guys were able to reapir that and save my new pink phone! thanks again!

    Andre saved my life - well, my Palm - and my life is in my Palm. Bonus that he did it so effortlessly and so calmly and in a matter of minutes! Actually, he also said that he could repair my old Palm, the one I thought was fried and caused me to buy this new, used one from the internet. Except the battery died just two weeks after purchase.     What a great experience! My 13 year old daughter broke the touch screen of her (new)Ipod Touch and was devastated. After shopping around we chose to go to The TechKnow Space for the repair, which was completed in under an hour for a price that would not break my daughter's budget. The service was courteous, kind and professional and the repair was done very well. Should we ever have need of electronics repairs in the future, I know exactly where to go.     Swift, efficient, and generous -- I've had a problem with my otherwise great Palm Centro, resulting in loss of sound. Techknow fixed it by changing the earphone jack. When this occurred again, a couple of months after the 60 day warranty had passsed, they fixed it within the hour again free of charge. Many thanks!

    My sales territory extends from the Quebec border to the Pacific.I live on my Rogers Blackberry which fried when I tried to charge with my Rogers charger. The Rogers store was unwilling to fix it, the Rogers technical support people were unable to fix it and immediately let me know it was past warranty period. Suggested I mail it to them to look at. Right. Techknow Space was referred to me by a client of mine. One hour after I walked in the door, the blackberry was repaired, the cracked screen replaced and I'm smiling at Easter. All for $119.00 (which I'll expense). Maybe I'm jaded, but I didn't know service like this still existed in Toronto.

    I dropped into TechKnow Space, yesterday, Sunday, to see about getting a battery replaced on my PDA, a Palm Tungston/E. They had a problem with it & asked me to leave it overnight, something which I could not do. Being a very fair company with the customer's satisfaction in mind, Ash, the owner who is there 7 days a week, told me there was no charge & they would even it out when I brought the Palm back & they were able to fix it. So today, Monday, I showed up about 11:00 AM & it was fixed with a new battery before noon. I should mention that Palm designed these units so that the battery could not be replaced. But Andre, the chief technician at TechKnow Space was more than equal to the task & was able to change the battery. While I was there, I saw a customer who wanted an expensive repair to his laptop advised to save the money & buy another laptop, something which this store does not sell. So when a company turns down a chance to make a buck in favour of helping the customer, you understand that here, customer service is not a slgan, it is a religion. The staff is very knowledgeable. Ash the owner must have manuals in his memory and is a most pleasant & personable gentleman. So if you want technical expertise, honest and fair treatment and to be treated with respect, this is the place for you! Thanks guys!

    Hi Ash, I just wanted to thank you once more for your friendly, personable, prompt and professional service regarding my 'Palm TX', earlier today. I was able to charge the new battery on my way to Barrie and have successfully synchronized my data. It is an amazing relief to have my 'Brain' back in working order. It was truly a pleasure to find such a human and humane service enterprise such as yours, down there in impersonal Toronto and, I will definitely recommend you and your staff to any and all listeners once I get back home to Sudbury. As I mentioned today, your enterprise is impressively clean, well merchandised and provides the consumer with confidence in your professionalism through it's appearance alone. I have been in many, 'technical' repair establishments over the years and most are dingy, dirty, disheveled, and decrepit, usually liberally littered with partly assembled or disassembled hulks, carcasses and relics of current or previously failed repairs. Not to mention, these places being staffed by monosyllabic 'techno-nerds' who may be able to communicate with machines but not, generally, with the people who pay their bills. These places do not instill the same level of confidence in their capabilities as yours does. Thanks again for the magnanimous loan of your 'Yellow Pages' phone book, which allowed my wife to pursue her 'elusive fabric search' in the Queen Street area, while we were waiting for Jay to complete my Palm's repair. This small gesture on your part made my life a whole lot easier, not having her waiting in the car fuming while waiting for MY Brain to be repaired! Finally, thank you for the pleasure of giving you my money (a phrase I have never before used nor heard said to me, in my 40 years of 'retail' and 'automotive service management' experience! ) and for a job well done, on time, and under the estimate.     Spread this insider tip around!! My blackberry Javelin was considered dead by every Rogers and private cell phone kiosk - until I found this place on the web by accident. (I had broken off one of the teeth, which the battery lines up with.) I dropped it off and within the hour I got the call that it was fixed and that I could come and pick it up. A real friendly crew, I might add!! I will come again, if need be and of course will tell everyone!!

    Ash was the consummate professional when setting up the repair of my 17-inch MacBook Pro. I'd busted the LCD panel - on my birthday, no less! - and he set me up for less than 1/2 the price of the local Mac shop. The repair was absolutely top quality, and took 90 minutes. I'm typing this testimonial on the machine now, a very happy customer. Since over 50% of the scientists in the biochemistry dept at UWO use Macs, I'm definitely sending them to the TechKnowSpace for future repair work!
