The new “old” Blackberry Classic is the Canadian smartphone company’s tribute to the golden days of QWERTY keyboards and trackpads to navigate through apps.
The Classic is Blackberry’s answer for smartphone users who are looking to maximise their productivity. The “old school” style keyboard and touchpad work seamlessly with the touchscreen and new software to help users jump from email to phone calls to meetings and back again efficiently and easily.
The biggest differences between the Classic and the smartphones it is imitating are fairly obvious just by looking at the phone.
For starters, unlike the Curve and Bold and Pearl of a bygone era, the Classic doesn’t have a removable back cover, and therefore, also doesn’t have a removable battery.
The second main difference to the outside is the addition of a SIM card tray and a MicroSD slot. These used to be besides the battery housing in older models, but without easy access to the insides of the phone, Blackberry, formerly Research In Motion (RIM), had to move these to the outside.
The Blackberry Classic was designed to help you stay productive. But if you are having a problem with your smartphone, or it becomes damaged in some way, it can seem impossible to get any work done.
The Techknow Space is always ready to help you with any ailments your Classic might be feeling. Our knowledgeable technicians are conveniently located in Toronto and Mississauga, ready to nurse your Blackberry back to health, 7 days a week.
