TechKnow Space is the best! Came in with a shattered screen with no appointment and only took 45 min! The screen is like brand new and would highly recommend this place! Staff is also very friendly and highly trained! This place definitely knows what their doing - much better than trying to book an appointment with apple. 5/5!

Sean (repair tech) and Ash (owner) were both a pleasure to deal with. They have the best price in town for iPhone screen and battery replacement. The phone was repaired in an hour, for the quoted price. Great Service and very Honest. Have brought three different smart phones to this place 2 iPhones and a Samsung, all for screen replacements. All repairs were completed in less than an hour. Today I brought in my iPhone 6S because I dropped it and the speaker and charger stopped working. The repair Technician asked me to give him a few minutes and before I knew it he returned my phone in perfect working condition in less than 5 minutes and did not charge me anything. I am highly recommending this place for their excellent repair service and their much appreciated honesty.

After having completely shattered my iPhone SE’s screen, I immediately looked into getting it replaced in a reasonable time frame. TechKnow was the only place apart from Apple that could replace my SE’s screen out of the five other places in the area that I had called. Compared to the Genius Bar at Apple, TechKnow was the logical choice to get my screen fixed as I was told by the employee at the Genius Bar that they needed an hour and a half to due diagnostics then another hour and a half to actually fix it. TechKnow took a total of 20 minutes to fix my phone after I had dropped it off for a fraction of the price of getting it fixed at Apple.

Great service...took iPhone in for battery replacement and screen replacement. Turns out it had a thick screen protector on the phone that was cracked...not the screen at all. Very happy..friendly and FAST service.

My iPhone screen cracked a day ago and I had no idea where to go to get it fixed. I dreaded the thought of giving up my cell for a few days to get it repaired.
I considered buying a new phone (in order to avoid being "phoneless" for a week) but decided to complete a google search and find a place that can fix my cell at a reasonable price and within a reasonable amount of time. I found these guys on google and I'm glad I did!
During my initial call, the staff person was friendly and I decided to attend the Mississauga location.
When I attended the store, staff were professional and friendly. They replaced the screen in less than 15 minutes! I attended with my two year-old and getting this done - on the spot- in less than 15 minutes was a plus!
They were very accommodating to my two year-old as we waited and they also helped me with picking out a case cover (which I'm very happy with).
Price was reasonable and my phone is good as new , location/hours were also convienant.

I had replaced the screen myself once before and it was a major pain . It took me 3 hours, almost gave up and ultimately , I did a poor job. I don't know how they managed to do this so quickly and perfectly . They must have a man with the worlds smallest hands back there .
When replacing parts does not provide a solution or resuscitate your device, the only explanation is a failure of the Main Board or the Logic Board.
When a device suffers damage, the obvious problem(s) appear to be a component, for example a screen or a charging port. These component failures are readily and immediately experienced by the user to be the proximate problem. Replacing the damaged or non-functional component would seem to be the obvious solution. Thus, a user comes to The TechKnow Space to have this problem remediated/repaired. Typically the doctor (our seasoned technicians) have no problem doing this.
Sometimes however, replacing/repairing components turns out to be an exercise in futility. Further diagnostics establishes the problem to be resident in the Main Logic Board. The replacement of these logic boards is prohibitive and best left alone. It’s time to move forward to a new device.
Bear in mind that these mainboard failures are a result of the initial damage to the device that prompted a visit to the repair shop even though it is not intuitively obvious.
When your iPhone 7 or 7+ is showing a “No SIM” message all of a sudden, even though you made sure that the SIM card is actually in the phone – there could be a problem with your SIM reader and/or tray. You can try removing or transferring your SIM card, insert the tray completely and in the same orientation that you removed it (it will fit only one way).
Use only the SIM tray that came with your device. For example, a SIM tray from an iPhone 6s will not fit in an iPhone 7.

IPHONE 6, 6 Plus SIM TRAY REPAIRS
The SIM card is a small plastic and metal card your cell service provider gives you to put inside your phone so you can use the phone on your provider’s network. A functioning SIM card in your phone allows you to:
Make and receive phone calls,
Send and receive texts, and
Access your cell phone provider’s LTE or 3G network and use the Internet.
The SIM card tray is one of the parts inside your phone you definitely want to make sure is undamaged and functioning properly so that your phone is connecting to your cell service provider’s network, letting you use your phone for its intended purposes. Apple changed the size of the SIM card tray in the iPhone 5 and 5S to fit a “nano” SIM, which is thinner and smaller than the previous model, the “micro” SIM. This new SIM size carried over to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as well as all of the iPad Air and iPad Mini models. This change allowed Apple to make their devices, especially the iPhones, slimmer and lighter.
If your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus is showing an error message such as:
“No SIM detected”,
“Emergency calls only”, or
“No network found”,
You should remove and then reinsert the SIM card, found on the right side of the screen of the iPhone 6/6+. If the error message is still there, try putting a different SIM in your phone (borrow one from a friend or family member) and if the message goes away, it is a problem with your SIM and you need to take it to your cell service provider and replace it. However, if it doesn’t, there could be something wrong with your SIM card tray. Issues with the tray can happen for reasons such as:
Ejecting or reinserting the tray incorrectly,
Physical damage like dropping your phone or hitting it against something
Bent or broken connector pins
Electrical shorts caused by the metal of the SIM touching another part inside the phone
The tray won’t eject or stay inside the phone
The TechKnow Space can troubleshoot SIM tray issues quickly and we are prepared to fix or replace the parts that are malfunctioning, any day of the week.
Without a working SIM card reader in your phone, your phone is essentially a really nice looking brick. You will be unable to:
Update Facebook and Twitter without Wi-Fi (gasp!)
SnapChat or Instagram your exciting adventures (shock!)
Watch your friends’ Vines or check their Tumblr posts (fright!)
Or use your cell phone as, you know, an actual phone (horror!!!)
Don’t deprive yourself of the constant connection to social media, calls and texts your iPhone offers. You paid good money for that phone; you should make the most of it, instead of trying to create inefficient workarounds.
IPHONE 5, 5S, 5C SIM TRAY REPAIRS
When your iPhone 5, 5S or 5C is showing a “No SIM” message all of a sudden – try to eject and reinsert the SIM card. If that doesn’t help, ask your friends or family for their SIM card and try it in your phone. If, even then, you get the same “No SIM” message – there is a problem with your SIM tray. The problem can develop over time from ejecting and reinserting the SIM, could be caused by liquid damage, or, most commonly, by using a SIM adapter to convert the size of the SIM.
Whether it’s the pins of the SIM tray that are broken, or the tray mechanism is stuck – we will quickly troubleshoot the problem and see what needs to be done to repair the SIM tray on your iPhone 5/5C/5S. We always carry all replacement parts in stock and will fix any SIM tray problem within an hour.

Living in Oakville ON... The closest Apple repair centre is at Square One. My iPad Air 2 had a crack in the screen. I walked in the Apple Store..... over crowded and obviously from my experience several staff are not very competent ! I felt rushed and my iPad was looked at by a tech representative and manager. They told me I needed a new iPad and they'd give me a deal for ~$400 for the same device! I almost fell for it, but left feeling frustrated!! While pulling out of the parking lot on my way home I passed a sign that said Techknow Space... Tired from my experience at the Apple Store , I hesitated, but turned around and entered the store. It was immediately a breath of fresh air! Extremely friendly staff and obviously extremely smart. They took my protective cover off and my screen was PERFECTLY FINE! I cannot thank this store , staff and owner for their help. Custom service was superb and they saved me so much money!! I highly recommend this store before heading to Apple or any other places!!
