It replaced Apple's iBook series. The standard model came was the white polycarbonate Macbook, and the black polycarbonate was the high end model. The glossy display, the sunken in keyboard and the non-mechanical magnetic latch was Apple’s first notebook to use these features and they are now the standards in the Macbook family. In 2008 Apple introduced an aluminum unibody version resembling the Macbook Pro.

I have had to use this repair place more than I care to admit :) but the service is always fast and excellent quality of work. The front desk person who served me today is one of the most relaxed, friendly persons I have encountered in a business in a long time.

Apple’s line of desktop computers has been viewed as the best option out on the market for a long time. There are three different types of Mac desktop computers:

  • iMac – the computer is all one piece – monitor, hard drive, etc. The casing doesn’t allow the user to open it up and add or change anything inside.
  • Mac Pro – meant for more advanced users who want to be able to customize their computer to their own specifications. Want to add an extra hard drive? Just slot another one in! The Mac Pro is designed to help the user create exactly what they want.
  • Mac Mini – a “plug-and-play” version of the Apple Mac. This model, unlike the iMac, doesn’t come with a screen, mouse or keyboard. The computer itself is a small aluminum box you can connect to any peripherals you already own.

The Techknow Space has expert technicians available to do repairs on your Mac, Mac Mini, or Mac Pro, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The Mac desktop computers offer a convenient and sleek “all in one” package for any user. Technology expert Walter S. Mossberg had only high praise for the iMac,

“Our verdict is that it’s the gold standard of desktop PCs... From setup to performing the most intense tasks, it’s a pleasure to use…For mainstream consumers doing typical tasks — Web surfing, email, office productivity, photos, music, home videos, etc. — it’s the finest desktop PC on the market, at any price.”

The Mac desktop computers have changed in appearance a lot of the years, going from brightly coloured and jujube-shaped, to white plastic and glass, to the current version of brushed aluminum.

My laptop was acting up from overheating due to a non-functioning fan. Although fans are easy to buy, when I opened my particular laptop, it was beyond belief how much dismantling I had to do to remove the old one. I would never have been able to put it back together.

Took it to TechKnow Space. Fixed.
