What is a Loudspeaker?

Understanding what a loudspeaker is can be quite simple, even for those who aren’t technologically-savvy. In the simplest terms, a loudspeaker, or speakerphone, is the component that allows you to hear sounds without the use of headphones.

In terms of smartphones, your loudspeaker is what enables you to make hands-free phone calls and hear notifications. With tablets, the loudspeaker is essential for listening to streaming media and notifications as well. Your laptop speakers give you the ability to hear music, play games, and watch movies or television shows without headphones.

The first thing you’ll want to do (in order to have a better understanding of what could be wrong with your device’s ringer) is to test the loudspeaker function. This should be simple enough, regardless of whether you’re dealing with a tablet ringer, laptop speaker, or your smartphone’s loudspeaker.

Step 1: Access Volume Settings

The first thing you’ll need to do is access the volume settings on your device. For example, on a MacBook you’re going to want to visit “System Preferences” > “Sound” > “Output” > “Internal Speakers”

The majority of device manufacturers try to make it simple for users to diagnose simple issues on their own.

Step 2: Testing the Volume

Once you have accessed the menu for volume settings, your device should then have some type of testing feature. Whether your device plays a sound through the loudspeakers when you start to move the volume slider or if there’s an actual “Test Sound” button.

If you don’t have a volume testing feature, you can queue up a music video or any type of video to test the sound.

Step 3: Working or Not?

If you find that the sound still isn’t playing through your device and you’ve made sure the volume is turned all the way up and the mute button is off, it’s time to bring it into The TechKnow Space in Mississauga or Toronto for tablet ringer, smartphone speakerphone, or laptop speaker repairs.

Common Reasons You May Need a Loudspeaker Repair

There are plenty of reasons as to why you may be in need of professional loudspeaker repair. As one of the most important functions on your phone, you’ll surely begin to miss it once it starts to fail. Before you try an at-home device speakerphone or loudspeaker repair, it’s important to first think of what the problem could be.

Hardware

The most common issue LG loudspeakers, Blackberry loudspeakers, OnePlus ringers, iPhone loudspeakers, and Samsung ringers experience is directly related to hardware. Often times people will try to use their speakerphone function and won’t be able to hear the other person on the other end of the line. Most of the time we find the speakers themselves need to be replaced or there’s a faulty connection between the speakers and the motherboard/logic board.

Another common issue users experience when trying to use their loudspeakers or speakerphone is audio that regularly fades in and out. This could either occur while the device is sitting still or when they move it from one location to another. It’s possible your smartphone, tablet, or laptop is experiencing a short between the connector affixed to the motherboard/logic board and the actual speakers.

Network Issues

You may be wondering, how does my smartphone’s network have anything to do with the loudspeaker? The answer is simple, if your device’s antenna is damaged, you’re going to experience a lower quality of phone calls and streaming of media because your device will have a poor connection to your service provider. In fact, a poor network connection could result in a variety of audio issues, most of which can easily be repaired as long as you rely on trusted professionals.

If you’re curious about iPhone antenna repairs, for example, if your network is affecting your speakerphone functions, visit one of our repair locations in Toronto or Mississauga today.

Software

As a less common issue, though something that may still occur with some users, poor audio quality or no audio at all could be as a result of an application or software issue. For example, if you aren’t having difficulty hearing phone calls on speakerphone but when you boot up a specific game or app and there’s no sound, it could be software.

In situations like this, it’s relatively easy to fix at home, especially since you won’t have to worry about dismantling your device at any given point in time. All you will typically have to do is see if there are any important software updates. Also, in terms of music, if you find the audio quality of some songs is poor whereas with others it’s great, it could be where you downloaded the music from in the first place.

Why You Shouldn’t Repair a Loudspeaker at Home

Regardless of the type of device you own, it’s preferred that you don’t attempt a repair at home. Not only is it an incredibly delicate process, but also improper speaker repairs could lead to shorts on the motherboard. You might even find that removing the device’s ringer or loudspeaker is simple enough, but installation could be harder than you imagined.

Sure, there are plenty of online resources that you can use to your advantage when it comes to trying to repair a tablet ringer, smartphone speakerphone, or laptop speaker on your own, but they’re highly untrustworthy. Not to mention they’re probably filled with a lot of technical jargon you simply won’t be able to understand. It’s better to rely on professional loudspeaker repair services to ensure your device is properly taken care of.

Don’t believe us? Take a look at the brief steps below that may be involved with repairing any device’s speakerphone function or ringer function.

  • Prying the Device Apart: In order to even get access to the speakers, you’re going to need to pry your device apart. The most important part of this step is to make sure that you assert the right amount of pressure and that you have the right tools for the job. Otherwise, you’re going to find yourself faced with a broken phone screen and/or a bunch of disconnected cables that were once soldered to the motherboard/logic board.

  • Removing Small Screws: Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it? Although removing the pentalobe screws sounds easy it also means you’re going to need a special screwdriver to do so. After you’ve successfully removed them without stripping them, you’re going to have to keep track of which screws go where. This is a task in itself because not only is it time-consuming, but it’s also incredibly tedious for inexperienced people attempting a loudspeaker repair.

  • De-Soldering Wires: As one of the many delicate parts of speakerphone repair or ringer repair, you’re going to not only need the tools but the expertise to de-solder the speaker wires from the logic board. Any misstep here could lead to irreversible damage to your motherboard, which is an extremely costly and time-consuming repair. In fact, depending on your model of phone it may not even be worth replacing the motherboard, but instead buying a new phone would be the most cost effective.

  • Soldering Wires: If you thought the first wave of de-soldering was difficult, now imagine using your skills to solder the new loudspeaker wires back onto the motherboard. Again, any mistakes in this area could lead to irreversible damage and you’ll start thinking, “Why didn’t I just bring my device into The TechKnow Space for loudspeaker repair?”

Ringer and LoudSpeaker Repair For Phones

Also commonly referred to as speakerphone, ringer, or external phone speaker, a loudspeaker can be more of a necessity than a luxury for many.

Our Smartphone Speakerphone Repair Services

You’re probably familiar with putting your phone up to your ear whenever you place a call, but to take advantage of hands-free talk, you’ll need to rely on your loudspeaker. Having a damaged speakerphone not only makes it relatively impossible to place hands-free phone calls but it also interrupts the performance of your ringer. Imagine being in a situation where you aren’t able to hear your phone ring when you’re across the room. It’s also impossible to listen to music hands-free while working out or cleaning.

If you’re beginning to notice your speakerphone is intermittently working and becoming more and more of an inconvenience, choosing a smartphone speakerphone repair will become more time sensitive than ever.

What is a Phone Loudspeaker?

The simplest explanation of a ringer/loudspeaker is it is the component that allows you to talk to contacts, listen to media, and hear alerts hands-free and without needing headphones. There are plenty of devices that have loudspeakers and at The TechKnow Space in Mississauga and Toronto, we offer repairs on them all, including smartphones, computers/MacBooks/laptops, and tablets.

The Importance of Speakerphone Repairs

You'll never truly understand the importance of having access to a working ringer until yours becomes faulty. If you find you're in dire need of help with your smartphones such as Blackberry speakerphone repair, LG speakerphone repair, OnePlus speakerphone repair, or Samsung speakerphone repair, The TechKnow Space is here to help! We work with an assortment of different phone brands and device models when it comes to smartphone repairs in Toronto and Mississauga.

Getting Rid of Headphones

Even though headphones can be quite beneficial in most circumstances, such as when you’re travelling or in public and don’t feel like sharing your music with the whole world, they can also be a pain. With the help of ringer repairs, you have access to high-quality sound at any time. For example, if you’re sitting on the couch scrolling through Instagram or Facebook and pull up a quick video, who has time to find a pair of headphones in order to hear anything? You’re going to want to be able to press play and have the sound start immediately.

Saving Money on Sound Accessories

Let’s face it, sound accessories can be incredibly expensive, especially if you’re looking into brands that are endorsed by celebrities or that offer high-quality sound. Not everyone has the budget to spend hundreds of dollars on headphones, only to lose them or break them at some point (even though here at The TechKnow Space we offer headphone repairs). Opting to listen to music through your phone is far less expensive and can be quite convenient when you’re alone.

Hands-Free Talk

Take a moment to think of all the times you’ve been doing the dishes, cooking dinner, or cleaning around the house and your phone rings. Is it really a necessity to stop what you’re doing to hold the phone up to your ear? No, and it’s inconvenient. A functioning phone ringer is the future of making it easier to answer and place calls to where you can continue with your daily activities without any interruptions

Conference Calls

Not everyone has access to the fancy VoIP (Voice over IP) programs and components that large companies have, and when it comes to conference calls you’re going to need to use what you have: speakerphone. You’ll easily be able to hold meetings with people in your immediate area and others that are further away, without the extra expenses. Without the help of smartphone speakerphone repair, you’ll be faced with the task of hold the phone to your ear and relaying information from the person on the phone to the people right beside you.

At The TechKnow Space in Mississauga and Toronto, we can easily help with LG ringer repair, OnePlus ringer repair, Blackberry speakerphone repair, Samsung ringer repair, iPhone ringer repair, and more.

Access to Alerts and Alarms

In today’s day and age, it’s fairly uncommon to find people buying alarm clocks unless they’re integrated into a phone charging dock. In most cases, they are going to rely on their phones for their alarms to wake up for work, remember important deadlines, and more. When your alarm rings, it goes through your loudspeaker and it would be relatively impossible to rely on the fact the alarm is loud enough when ringing through your headphones.

This same principle applies to alerts such as phone calls and text messages. All of the notifications you currently have programmed (aside from vibration and messages that appear on the screen) rely on your loudspeakers to make noise.

Without them, you’re going to have to rely on visual cues and vibration to know when there’s an update to an app or an incoming call or text. Then imagine if the vibrator motor in your phone starts to experience problems, you’ll surely be out of luck! Choosing to get a smartphone ringer repair is the better option than waiting until it's too late.

Sharing Videos with Friends and Family

There’s always a moment when you find something hilarious on your Instagram or Facebook page and you NEED to show it to a friend or a family member. It’s pretty unsanitary and really inconvenient to share headphones with others, especially if they’re ear buds.

The better option? Playing the media through your speakerphone function. Though if it's faulty or not working at all, it’s going to be impossible and you’ll have to resort to the headphone method.

If you’re concerned about experiencing any of these common issues with phone loudspeakers, we suggest bringing your device into The TechKnow Space in Mississauga or Toronto where our technicians will be able to diagnose the issue and replace either the loudspeakers themselves or at worst, the logic/motherboard of your phone.

Common Issues with Loudspeakers

  • When placing a hands-free call you can’t hear the person on the other end of the line
  • Voices will sound muffled when using the smartphone loudspeaker
  • Music and sounds will play intermittently through the loudspeaker
  • External speakers will give off “popping” noises before going silent
  • Your headphones will work perfectly but no sound will come out of your loudspeaker
  • Sound is unbalanced when playing through the speakerphone function
  • Your smartphone ringer and alerts don’t play through the loudspeakers

Choosing Professional Smartphone Speakerphone Repairs

The first thing you need to do is not panic! Speakerphone problems are common and can be as a result of a few different things such as water damage or damage from dropping your device.

You might be experiencing one (or many) of the issues above and although it might feel like it’s the end of the world - it’s not. Replacing the loudspeakers on your smart phone will give you the ability to clearly hear calls from friends and family as well as music and alerts.

It’s important to know that these repairs are not something you should attempt to complete on your own. With extended hours, The TechKnow Space is available to help 7 days a week. Instead of trying to fix your device on your own time, we have expert technicians to disassemble and reassemble your phone in less time and with the perfect level of skill.

Loudspeaker or speaker phone repairs in Toronto or Mississauga at The TechKnow Space are the right solution for your needs to help you get the most use out of your phone.

“Why Isn't My Smartphone Speakerphone Working?"

If you’re not 100% sure that your ringer is the problem (and in many cases, it might not be), our diagnostic services are exactly what you’ll need. Our team of technicians will run thorough tests to ensure that all other components of your phone are working to the best of their ability. During the diagnostic process, we are able to single out the problem and determine whether it’s as a result of a faulty loudspeaker or as a result of a faulty connection to the mainboard/logic board.

When you bring your device into The TechKnow Space for smartphone speakerphone repairs in Toronto or Mississauga, our technicians can often determine the true cause for failing or failed loudspeakers within an hour.

"How Do I Fix the Ringer on My Smartphone?"

When it comes to DIY loudspeaker repairs it’s best for you to have the right experience to prevent excessive damage to your phone. It’s important to remember there are many delicate steps involved with the process that not only require skills but also the right tools.

You’ll need the right items to secure your phone in place, remove tiny screws, delicately remove the screen of your phone, remove spacers, and more. Keep in mind that in the event of any excessive force you might do more damage than good to the delicate parts inside of your phone.

As an example, here is a brief summary of the steps involved with repairing an iPhone 6 speaker:

Step 1: Remove the tiny screws at the base of the phone near the lightning charging port

Step 2: Use a prying tool to pull the screen apart from the remainder of the device

Step 3: Prop the screen open but be sure to keep it at a 90-degree angle to prevent strain on the important cables inside of the phone

Step 4: Pry off the cable connector, making sure not to remove their components from the logic board

Step 5: Use a tool to remove the small screws surrounding the speakerphone function

Step 6: Remove the ringer component

Step 7: Install the new ringer

Repairing your speakerphone, as you can tell from the brief instructions, is an intricate process not for the faint of heart and sometimes, it’s best to leave the professionals to do the work!

LoudSpeaker Repair For Tablets

We Repair Loudspeakers for the Following Tablet Brands:

  • Apple iPad
  • ASUS Tablet
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab
  • Microsoft Surface
  • Amazon Kindle

Also referred to as a tablet speaker-phone, tablet ringer, or external tablet speaker, your tablet’s loudspeaker is an essential part of enjoying media and using WiFi calling apps hands-free.

Much like your laptop-speakers and smartphone loudspeakers, your tablet speakerphone function might be one of the most important components you rely on. Tablets are commonly used for playing games, watching videos, and having FaceTime or Skype conversations with friends and family. Without working loudspeakers, you’re not going to be able to hear notifications from incoming calls and alerts.

Common Tablet Speakerphone Problems We Fix and Refurbish

There are plenty of common issues tablet users might experience when dealing with faulty loudspeakers. If you notice your device is experiencing any of the following, be sure to bring it into our team of expert technicians at The TechKnow Space. We're available 7 days a week with extended hours to serve you best! Not to mention we have an assortment of other tablet repair services readily available to assist you.

Can’t Hear People on the Phone

The most talked about issue people experience with tablet speaker-phone problems is not being able to hear the other person on the end of the line when they receive a call. There’s nothing worse than awaiting a call from a friend or family member only to realize you can’t hear them because your loudspeaker function isn’t working.

Inaudible Alarms and Notifications

Your alarms are essentially your lifeline, and the same applies to notifications. If you’re unable to hear your alarms in the morning, how are you going to wake up for work on time or remember that very crucial deadline? As for alerts, how are you supposed to know a text has come through or an app is ready to be updated? Without functioning loudspeakers you’ll have to rely on the visual cues such as flashing lights from notifications popping up on the screen.

Intermittently Working Loudspeakers

If you find that while you’re watching a video on your tablet your sound keeps going in and out, that’s also known as intermittently working loudspeakers. At times this can be even more frustrating than dealing with ringers that are entirely broken because you’ll find yourself thinking the speaker-phone functions fixed themselves every time you hear a sound. At The TechKnow Space, we know all about the frustrations of tablet ringers that only work less than half of the time.

Muffled and Unbalanced Audio

Two other common concerns tablet users have with their loudspeakers is when their audio is both muffled and unbalanced. It might sound like your speakers are inside of your pocket or that all of the sounds are coming out of one speaker instead of both. This can really take away from the quality of sound you’ll experience.

How to Repair Tablet Speakerphone at Home

Here at The TechKnow Space, we do not recommend that you attempt to repair or replace your tablet loudspeakers on your own. It is a delicate process that involves removing several parts of your phone and without the right hands-on skills and tools, you could easily damage your motherboard.

As a brief example of what’s involved with an at-home internal tablet speaker-phone repair, you will need to take the following steps into consideration.

First, it’s important to know that every tablet is different and they require different tools to access the loudspeakers. This is why we recommend bringing your device into The TechKnow Space, where our team of technicians have access to all of the tools required for the job, plus 12+ years of experience handling delicate components.

Step 1: Disassemble the Tablet

The first thing you’ll be responsible for is disassembling your tablet. This is when you’re going to need access to specialized tools that are designed for separating the front and back of your tablet. During this step you need to be quite careful as even the smallest amount of excess pressure could damage the back cover or the screen.

Step 2: Find the Speakerphone Components

This will also depend on the type of tablet you own, as some speakerphone functions may be found in different locations. For example, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has 4 speakers you'd need to locate! In general, you’re going to have to figure out where yours are and follow where the black and red wires are connected to the motherboard.

Step 3: Make Space to Remove the Ringer Components

Now it’ll be time to work with the other sensitive wires of your tablet to separate the battery from the back panel. Be wary of what you’re moving away from the back panel, otherwise, you could severely damage the entire performance of your tablet!

Step 4: De-Solder Wires

As something that is recommended only for professionals, you’ll then need to de-solder the wires that attach the speakerphone components of your tablet to the motherboard. This process is essential as it gives you the ability to completely remove the defective tablet ringers.

Step 5: Remove and Replace the Loudspeakers

The last steps to replacing your tablet’s loudspeaker include removing the dysfunctional speakers and replacing them with the new speakerphone components. This won’t include de-soldering, but instead re-soldering.

Step 6: Worry that the Repairs were Done Incorrectly

Unless you are a trained device technician it is impossible to tell if the work you’ve done has damaged or repaired your speakerphone functions. In fact, you won’t have any idea until you put your entire tablet back together again.

Instead, why not bring your device into The TechKnow Space where you can KNOW your device was treated with the utmost amount of care.

The Benefits of Tablet Loudspeakers

It’s important to consider the benefits of having access to working tablet loudspeakers. Not only do they allow you to watch your favourite TV shows and movies without headphones, but they also give you the ability to use your tablet similarly to how you would use your phone.

Hands-Free Communication

Maybe you’ve brought your device into The TechKnow Space for smartphone repair or maybe you just can’t find your phone buried somewhere in your couch. In today’s day and age, tablets can operate similarly to your mobile devices, just with the help of the internet. Whether you’re receiving a FaceTime call or if you’re using your tablet as a communication proxy to your traditional phone, you’re going to need access to the loudspeakers. Otherwise, you’re not going to be able to hear the person on the other end of the line.

Hands-free communication is also a great choice for answering calls while your hands are busy with cleaning, washing dishes, doing laundry, etc. We’ve all used our tablet’s speakerphone function at one point or another!

Sharing Media with Friends and Family

There are plenty of times when you’ll opt to use your tablet to share media with friends and family, whether it’s a hilarious prank video that you’ve found online or a video you’ve made on your own time. The only problem is, how are you going to share the sound with people other than yourself without a working loudspeaker?

You can’t use headphones because everyone would need to have their own set in their pockets (which is simply unrealistic). In most cases you would simply be able to click “Play” and sound would be transmitted directly through the loudspeakers on the device. The inconvenience of trying to share media with friends and family can be overwhelming without working speaker-phone functions.

Who Needs Headphones?

Headphones aren’t only a pain if you want to share media with others, but if you want to watch something by yourself in your own home. We think everyone can agree that there’s nothing worse than trying to go through all of your belongings to try to find a pair of headphones to watch something as small as a 10-second video.

The real question is: who needs headphones when you have repaired loudspeakers with the help of the TechKnow Space?

Hearing Notifications and Alarms

Much like alarm clocks were necessary in the past, our tablets and smartphones have quickly taken their place. The only problem is, if you don’t have a smartphone or can’t find it before bed, you’re going to need to rely on your tablet. You'll need to set an alarm and rely on it to let you know if you have any important notifications. There’s no possible way you’ll be able to wake up to an alarm playing through headphones - especially if you’re a heavy sleeper!

Imagine receiving an important FaceTime call from family only to find that you left your phone at your friend’s house and your tablet is across the room. You’re not going to know that anyone is trying to get in touch with you until you boot it up, which might not be until the next day. Without the help of tablet ringer repair, it’s nearly impossible to expect your tablet to light up bright enough to catch your attention when it’s not in your lap.

It’s best to take your tablet into one of The TechKnow Space tablet ringer repair locations in Toronto or Mississauga for service as our technicians will have your device up and running in no time!

Speaker Repair For Laptops & Macbooks

We Repair Laptop Speakers for the Following Brands:

  • Acer
  • Apple
  • Asus
  • Dell

  • Lenovo (IBM/Lenovo)

For entertainment buffs, laptop speakers are more than just another component inside of their device - they can be the most important part of the laptop. Whether you’re binge watching Game of Thrones on Netflix or if you’re trying to listen to a VoIP call, you’re going to need to have working laptop speakers.

Unfortunately, as useful as they are, laptop speakers are also prone to damage. There may be a time when you spill a sugary drink on your laptop and notice your speakers stop working. Or perhaps your laptop suffered a recent fall. After the accident, you’ll find yourself trying to push the volume buttons and the mute buttons in an effort to figure out exactly what went wrong.

Instead of putting yourself through the misery of playing the guessing game, you can bring your laptop into The TechKnow Space to have your laptop-speakers repaired. You won’t have to worry about trying to plug your headphones in every time you want to watch or listen to something at home.

Common Issues with Laptop Speakers

  • Being unable to hear anything through your laptop speakers
  • Muffled speakers resulting in lower than normal volume
  • Inability to hear FaceTime calls or Skype calls
  • Not being able to hear notifications on your laptop (such as iMessage or Windows Updates)
  • Broken speaker connectors resulting in zero sound production
  • Poor laptop speaker sound quality

“I found a great YouTube video to teach me how to do internal laptop-speaker repairs. I think I can do it on my own!”

The idea of doing DIY laptop-speaker repairs at home might seem interesting to some, but it can be dangerous to your device. At The TechKnow Space, we do not recommend that you try to repair them at home. This is mostly because some laptop models are more difficult than others and require not only special skills but special tools as well.

When you start your search online for DIY videos to use to your advantage for laptop-speaker repairs, all of the information is always designed to make the process sound easier than it actually is. This is because they’re typically created by people who are trying to make the process sound simpler, or that are relaying the repairs they’ve done on their own. There’s is absolutely no way to verify their skill level or how trustworthy they actually are.

The other important thing to know is that guides are designed to be what they are - guides. There’s no information to assist you in the event of user-error or any factors outside of what has been written.

When you take your laptop into us at The TechKnow Space, our technicians will not only be able to pinpoint the cause of your failing speakers in a limited amount of time but also repair the issue easier than the person in your YouTube video tutorial.

The best option is always the professional option because although laptops are powerful machines, they are also delicate and should be handled with care.

As a brief example of what’s involved with an at-home internal laptop-speaker repair, you may need to:

  • Check all of the obvious settings: You’ll need to check the volume sliders on the application you’re using, your volume settings, and if you have anything plugged into the headphone jack.
  • Prepare the Laptop: Before you even think about opening your device you’re going to need to backup your data, especially since you may have little to no experience with laptop-speaker repairs. The last thing you’ll want is to touch the wrong component and lose all of your important documents and pictures.
  • Opening the laptop: This is the part where you’re going to have to be incredibly diligent with your efforts, otherwise, you could end up damaging more components of your laptop that will be more expensive to fix. Remember: Every laptop is different! You’re going to have to find specific instructions for your specific model.
  • Unscrewing the Components: In most cases, your speakers will be located below your hard drive, and so you’re going to have to unscrew all of the screws responsible for holding the hard drive in place. You’ll then have to slide the hard drive out to expose the antenna cables that also need to be loosened.
  • Finding the Speakers: If you’re really motivated to attempt a laptop-speaker repair on your own, be prepared to know exactly what speakers look like and where they’re located. This could involve looking for connections on the motherboard and dismantling your entire laptop if you cannot source the location of the speakers.
  • Replacing the Speakers: If you haven’t given up on your YouTube tutorial yet, it’s time to replace the speakers. You’re going to have to find the right ones for your model of laptop, order them, hope they come in within a reasonable time frame, and hope they work. The worst part is that all of this worry comes into play before you even begin the laptop speaker replacement. During this process, you will have to be sure to avoid static charges which can ruin the delicate electrical components in your device.

The Benefits of Laptop-Speaker Repair

Your laptop’s speakers may be more important than you realize at first, they tend to be one of those features you take for granted until you lose them. There is an array of benefits you’ll experience once you make the decision to bring your laptop into The TechKnow Space for laptop-speaker repairs.

Taking Advantage of High-Quality Sound

Having access to high-quality sound isn’t something that’s only reserved for music buffs. The majority of people who watch television shows, place phone calls, or listen to music can tell when a song reduces in quality. The easiest way to explain it is to imagine you’re listening to the radio in your car. As you move further away from radio towers, you’re going to notice your music is going to sound muffled or more quiet than usual. Then when you get closer to radio towers, the music will become louder and clearer.

When you bring your laptop in for repair at The TechKnow Space we’ll give you the ability to listen to crisp and clear sound instead of dealing with sub-standard quality. You’ll finally be able to take advantage of the internal laptop speakers and music you’ve paid for, instead of dealing with poor sound quality.

Listening to Media without Headphones

The first and most obvious benefit of having working laptop speakers is the ability to listen to media without needing headphones. Headphones can be expensive and are typically an inconvenience, especially if you’re watching media while you’re at home. There’s nothing worse than queuing up your favourite Netflix show only to realize you have to find a pair of headphones first, only because your laptop speakers need repairs.

You might even find that depending on the model you own, your internal speakers provide better audio quality than a pair of headphones would. In this case, it can be better to have your laptop speakers repaired instead of paying for an expensive set of headphones.

Placing and Receiving WiFi Calls

Although your laptop will not function similar to your phone, by any means, it still gives you the ability to use WiFi applications to place calls to friends and family. In fact, you might even rely on WiFi calling while you’re travelling abroad.

When you’re home alone there’s no point to using headphones for hands-free calls, especially if you’re in the middle of something important such as doing dishes or washing clothes. Instead, you’re going to want to rely on your laptop speakers to transmit call audio to wherever you are.

Using Laptop Speakers During Presentations

As a versatile tool, you may find that you not only use your laptop for personal use but for professional use as well. In these cases, you might rely on your laptop-speakers to relay audio during a PowerPoint presentation if you do not have access to standalone ones.

Audio files such as transitions and small videos can really make or break a presentation, and in order to be the most effective, you’re going to need to rely on The TechKnow Space’s team of technicians to help with laptop-speaker repairs.
