Downtown Toronto &
Square One MississaugaWhen an electronic device is damaged such as when dropped, there's usually a primary or visible physical effect, like a dent or broken glass. Typically we can identify (or you can even guess) the component that is damaged and replace it to fix the problem.
Fixing the obvious primary problem may not necessarily be the only issue. Other components within the device could also have been damaged. This can only be discovered and identified upon complting a diagnostics by running an exhaustive set of tests that exercise all the functions and features of the device to uncover any secondary / additional issues and problems. This enables us to provide you with a complete assessment of your device condition and estimated time and cost to repair. The outcome of our efforts is thus a complete solution, not merely a repair of the visible problem.
Importantly, these secondary problems sometimes cannot be identified or uncovered unless the primary problems have been addressed.
For example:
A phone with a damaged touch screen can be fixed by replacing the screen. The device may however, have also suffered damage to the earpiece. This would only be discovered after the screen is replaced and additional testing is possible. Thus, in this example, the solution requires two components to be replaced.
Screen damage is probably the most common reason phones are brought in for repair.
Sometimes the event that precipitated the glass to break (or maybe the glass didn't break but the screen is black) caused unseen damage beyond the screen assembly itself affecting other functions or preventing a new screen from working. In such cases the unseen damage will need to be repaired before a new screen replacement will revive your device.

You plug in your device to charge - no beep, no charging indicator - you think: "oh no I need the charging port replaced".
Often it is that simple, however the charging port is related to other functions and components like the battery and mainboard charging circuits.
We look at all possible scenarios when diagnosing a faulty port and provide the solution(s) that solve your charging problems!

Often it is easy to know when your battery needs replacing - most devices will give you a message leading up to it.
When replacing the battery isn't a solution or only partially improves the functionality - we will need to to look deeper.

Earpiece issues interfere with your ability to hear the other party when on a call - unless you switch to speakerphone.
Often a straightforward replacement of the earpiece speaker will solve this problem.
Sometimes (and depending on the nature of the damage be in water or impact or ...) the problem could run deeper.
We have even seen (though rarely) software to be the culprit of earpiece problems - especially in the absence of an apparent damage.
