Device Data Recovery Solutions
When leaving your device for data recovery - also leave a working storage device such as a flash drive, or external hard drive to transfer your recovered data to once successfully complete.
If you are unable to leave a working storage device with us we will transfer your recovered data to a device of sufficient size to store it and charge you for it along with the recovery service fee.
The expectation of successful recovery:
1. Recovery is nearly always possible where files or photos have been deleted or the device has been formatted or initialized.
2. Recovery is often possible where files or photos have inexplicably vanished.
3. Recovery is sometimes possible where the device has sustained physical damage or has failed.
Tips you can follow to increase the likelihood of successful recovery of your files:

Digital memory is a fickle mistress, and hindsight is 20/20. When your device crashes or stops working for whatever reason, often your first thought is, “OMG do I have everything important saved somewhere else?”
Backing up your important files is always a great idea – in retrospect. Everyone always thinks computer failures happen to other people, but no one is safe!
MY DEVICE IS NOT REPAIRABLE. CAN MY DATA BE SAVED?
A large portion of digital device malfunctions seems tragic when they happen, but they are still repairable. For the less fortunate devices that can’t be revived there is still a chance that not all is lost.
The likelihood that all of your data (such as important documents, photos, music, and other files) is still intact and ready to be retrieved is pretty good in the case of a logic board failure.
The logic
This board is a relatively expensive replacement, both in parts and labour, and not always worth it ($$$). Instead of shelling out the cash for a logic board service or replacement, you sometimes have the option of pulling all of the data from the laptop and moving on.
If your hard drive (the component that stores all your files) is in good working order, as is often the case with mainboard failures, backing up your data from the dead device is usually an option available to you.
I THINK I DELETED SOME OR ALL OF MY IMPORTANT FILES. HOW DO I GET THEM BACK?
If you’ve accidentally deleted files from your device or formatted the memory without backing up all your files first, data recovery is still possible for many situations.
The first thing you should do when you realize you’ve deleted something you shouldn’t have is to turn your device off. The more new files you create, the more likely are the chances your device will write new 1s and 0s on top of the old ones.
The best thing to do is to visit the Techknow Space. Our expert technicians have specialized software for all hard drives and other memory storage devices.
Software recovery has a high success rate in the TechKnow Space. Our specially trained technicians are dedicated to helping you find and retrieve all of your missing data.
I CAN’T FIND SOME OR ALL OF MY FILES ANYWHERE ON MY DEVICE, EVEN THOUGH I DIDN’T DELETE ANYTHING.
Hard drives work in complex ways, which means they can fail in complex ways as well. If you are mysteriously missing files, it doesn’t mean the data is gone forever.
By visiting the Techknow Space, you can increase your chances of rescuing your magically disappearing files and data. Our technicians are experts at software data recovery for all devices and file recovery.

Great, friendly and timely service! Highly recommended!
Is there any way to get that data back?
Yes, we can retrieve your important files! There are fewer components that make-up a typical USB stick; logic board, memory chips, USB controller and the USB jack. The data is ultimately stored in the memory chip, which is what we lose a connection to when it stops working. Some of the causes
USB memory comes in a variety of packaging and memory size with different causes of failure. Since the solutions can differ the cost of repair ranges between $99 and $199 depending on the complexity and manual time taken for data recovery.
Most issues with USB memory sticks can be resolved via software. Logic board service solutions
Memory cards have come a long way since 1994 with larger memory capacity and smaller package size since the first memory computer memory cards, PCMCIA cards, were available on the market. We find them in use for containing storage in many of our portable devices, such as cameras, phones, tablets, digital picture frames, laptops, and more. Most often, they're used to store our photos, videos and other personal files.
The few components that make up a memory card are all integrated into a small package for easy storage and portability. There isn't any real possibility of troubleshooting when they stop working. If it goes it the right way and the data cannot be accessed then it needs to be taken in for recovery.
We know how important personal photos and videos are. When you bring us a memory card that's not working we take it upon ourselves to ensure a full recovery using the appropriate data retrieval methods for your storage media.

Even backups need to be backed up. We provide restoration services for your failing commercial backup systems.
We recover data from all laptop makes and models, including the following brands:
Until recently, all laptops used a standard 2.5 or 3.5 inch IDE or SATA hard disc drive for storage memory. Because of this standard, data recovery for all laptops was a generally similar procedure.
Today, memory storage standards have moved from hard disc drives to solid state drives, HDD and SSD, respectively. As a result, the methods and procedures for data recovery have become more complex to accommodate the changes in the new standard storage memory components.
Hard Drive data recovery can take between 2 hours and 2 weeks due to the following (among other) circumstances:

Have you done a backup?
We have all of our important contacts, pictures, emails, text messages, and snap chat screenshots stored on our smartphones. Probability-wise, you did not make a back up of your personal stuff. Procrastinating on this can be a problem if your phone breaks and there's no access to your stuff.
Don't feel bad, we can help with your lost phone data issue. Whether we need to recover your data as a result of liquid damage or physical damage, we have a solution. The first solution is to repair the phone so that you can go back to using it normally, thereby, giving you access to your stuff. The next option is to recover the phone data by storing it in another device or storage media. Whatever the issue you're having we're want to give you the best solutions you're looking for.
If you are fortunate enough to have set up an iCloud account on your iPhone or Google account on your Android phone, then there is the chance that your data has already been synced
To avoid getting stuck in the future, it is our strong recommendation to set up an account on your phone that automatically syncs your personal files and documents. Whether you're near your office computer or far across the globe, having your data on a cloud server can be very convenient. If you don't feel comfortable keeping your stuff in the cloud or if cloud storage is getting to be expensive for the amount of data you have, then you'll need to be more diligent and do regular hard backups to your computer or memory storage media.

How is data recovered from phones?
There are several different approaches to getting the data from the phone, but typically it all comes down to getting the phone to turn on to the point when it can get synced with a computer and the data retrieved.
Here's an example of what would need to be done to a severely damaged iPhone in order to recover the data:
Uh oh! Just dropped my iPad and realized I hadn't synced my data - pictures, videos & documents.
There are many different situations that could prevent you from accessing your

That sounds complicated...is the cost astronomical?

Here's a summary of the process we followed to retrieve this device's data:
(remember this is an extreme case and even though the data recovery was successful in this one it will not always be :)
First Step: Disassembly and removal of all circuit boards
Second Step: Thoroughly clean all liquid and corrosion from the boards in ultrasonic solution, then manually under microscopes
Now, we can try to get the mainboard to power up:

The Data Recovery:

Connect to our WiFi from the iPad
Install Google drive and upload all the photos & videos to it.
Periodically, we would have to disassemble the iPad and remove the battery in order to charge it externally as it would run down quickly due to irreversible mainboard damage. The iPad would then need to be reassembled after each charge to continue uploading the files.
Once the uploading completed (a total turnaround time of 2 days!!!) we were able to store the files on an external storage device.
